An ‘Evening at Ephesus’ is a must-do experience if it’s offered on your voyage. This complimentary shore event is offered when you visit Kusadasi (Ephesus) in Turkey. When the ancient site of Ephesus closes to visitors for the day, Seabourn guests are treated to a private cocktail part in this amazing archaeological wonder. After an early dinner on board the ship, guests depart from the pier for a 30-minute coach ride. A magical evening follows – after a casual stroll along the ancient Roman road, you’ll be welcomed with wine, cocktails and canapes, as you listen to a chamber orchestra’s repertoire of classical music within the site that boasts some of the most famous ruins in the world.

Cruising with Children

Set sail with Seabourn, where kids are more than welcome! While Seabourn doesn’t have a formal youth program, children and teens are welcome on board. You’ll typically see more children on the ship in the summer or holidays, during shorter sailings in the Mediterranean or Caribbean.Children need to be 6-months or older at the time of sailing, and on certain transoceanic sailings, this increases to 12 months. Shore excursions are free for kids on a Seabourn cruise too.

Accessibility

Seabourn is fully committed to providing safe, easy, and accessible accommodations for all individuals with disabilities, including children, to the best extent possible. It is important to note that guests who are unable to care for their basic needs, such as dressing, eating, and attending safety drills, must have a capable traveling companion. Seabourn offers a number of accessible suites onboard each ships, specially designed to cater to guests with disabilities, offering wider entry doors, accessible bathrooms, and grab bars for added safety. Seabourn doesn’t provide wheelchair assistance, except for embarkation, disembarkation and emergency situations, so guests are encouraged to bring their own or make advance rental arrangements. 

To enhance the cruise experience for guests who are blind or have low vision, Seabourn offers various accommodations, including downloadable daily activities, news, and menus for laptops with screen reader programs. Additionally, upon arrival, a familiarisation tour of the vessel can be arranged. For guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, Seabourn has made several accommodations available, including Suite kits with visual and tactile alerts for door knocks, phone rings, or alarms. Please let your cruise consultant know about any specific requirments you may have, as advance preparation, in conjunction with the cruise line, is crucial in accommodating specific needs.
